![]() This is not ‘yet another step sequencer’, but really a generative music device, that builds a real time MIDI loop based on an underlying theory described in a previous post. The idea is to generate rhythms, and perhaps melodies, from one rhythm seed, then use mutated copies of it to create something more interesting, all this in realtime using knobs and buttons. And yes.I searched through newbieland.and mpc environments.Following my ongoing work on a theory of rhythms and a corresponding physical instrument using lasers, here is a version of the same idea implemented into an Arduino: a generative sequencer. Maybe I have the actual channels mixed up? Shoot I don't know, I probably need one or two more midi cords. I don't need the keyboard to control the S950 right now, but I don't have 1 more midi cord right now (going to GC in the morn) so I wanted to try "thru"Īnyhow, I know I'm missing or overlooking something simple. I really just want the Roland to play out of the Proteus and then send the info into the MP and have it control it like I do the MicroKorg. I want my Roland keyboard to play the data from the Proteus 1 and sounds from the S950. Is this correct? Doesn't seem to be happnin for me. Midi out (from Roland W-30 -keyboard) -> THRU ->Akai S950 ->Midi in (on Proteus 1) -> Midi Out (From Proteus 1) -> Midi In (on MPC 3k) ![]() Midi out (A:From MPC)-> Midi in (on MicroKorg) Here is the new setup (or what I'm attempting to setup) So that is my old setup.nice and simple.no probs. Midi out (B: From MPC) -> Midi in (On S950) Midi out (From S950) -> Midi in (on MPC3k) ![]() ![]() Midi out (A: From MPC) -> Midi in (on MicroKorg) Midi out (from Micro Korg) -> Midi in (on MPC3k) I did a search on midi thru.but didn't find anything 100% satisfactory so here we go. I'm awake messing with old gear since I can't go to sleep.someway to spend spring break.Īnyway, I finally got a desk.which gives me the room to hook up gear thats been collecting dust in the corner. ![]()
